Ever been tricked by a 'bench'? You know the kind, they sneak up on you when you most need a seat, they place themselves right in front of you, offer you a view and a place to rest your weary legs...
... then, just as your tucking into your apple (more on apples later) it jumps up and shouts "Ha! Got you! Im no bench!", then what do you do! Your just sat there looking like a fool without a bench.
Well this happened to me today, I was walking along, up Hoad, thinking about food as I often do. As I saw it appear over the hill...
So BenchMark time: 4/5 An awesome view from any point on the bench, it lost one mark because:
Ahh umm I think I have made an awful mistake, turns out a bench is exactly what I sat on. up the BenchMark to 4.4/5 !

... I knew it was the bench for me.
I thought it would be nice to munch on my apple, so I took a seat, looked out to sea and took a pic
Errr I then thought what if I sit round the other side of this 'bench'... took another pic:
Wait one picture taking minute! that is no bench! It is just a handily positioned base to our beloved monument locally known as Hoad...
- I am still not convinced it is a bench
- There is a "what you can see" sign (top middle of the pic above) which for the lazy would have been better as a table right in front of the bench
- I forgot to eat my apple I was so busy looking at the view, then I ran down the hill, and err well I am sorry to say the apple did not make it
