Well, here it is! The long awaited first bench review.
After a lovely walk from The Gill up towards the Hoad Monument we stumbled across this lovely old wooden bench. It is about an hours round walk at a steady pace, good car parking at The Gill, easy to follow signs and a huge monument to keep you going in the right direction.
The position: The position of this bench is well fairly odd, yes it is part of a walk but it is positioned right on the edge of a B road.
Comfort: After testing the bench for likeliness of it falling apart we took a seat, fairly comfy, if you ignore the overgrowth trying to attack you from the back.
View: The view was generally disappointing, with the road, the wall all you are left with is the very edge of some woods, however it does get direct sunlight!
Overall BenchMark: 2 / 5, lost marks for overgrowth, position right on the edge of a road and the view was not all that inspiring. Not really a place to stop and have your lunch.
